A PCV Driver Medical examination is a legal requirement for anybody looking to drive vehicles open to the public. PCV drivers must have passed an examination with a registered doctor.
At The Medical, we undertand that PCV drivers have to work flexible hours. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for PCV drivers to make an appointment with us. So our service is available five days a week, from 8am until 8pm.
Our GPs are all registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and are members of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
The Medical is approved by the government's healthcare watchdog, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who assesses whether a healthcare centre is safe, caring and responsive to the patients' needs.
We have been awarded the 'Clinic Management Quality Mark' and the 'Patient Practice Quality Mark' for clinical excellence and consistently exceeding our customers' expectations.
The Medical is also accredited by all major insurance providers.
You will need to bring a D4 medical form with you, which can be downloaded from the DVLA website, and photographic identification, such as a photo driving licence or passport.
If you wear glasses or contact lenses, you must also bring your most recent glasses prescription.
In order to complete your medical you will need to bring a copy of your GP records. Our receptionist will provide you with a letter to give to your GP practice requesting this.
