Gold standard Health Checks, delivered by expert doctors

A Health Check is more than a check up. Its the start of a journey towards healthier living and a happier life.

A Health Check is a set of tests and examinations that give you an overview of your current health. You might choose to have a Health Check because of a specific health concern, or you’d like support to improve your health.

We use our health expertise to build a clear picture of where your current health is and identify potential future health risks. After your health assessment, we’ll give you guidance and support to help you become healthier today and in the future.

A comprehensive range of Health Checks, designed to suit your individual requirements

Our Health Checks include a personal and confidential lifestyle discussion with the doctor and up to 28 checks and measures. The doctor will also produce a personalised Health Action Plan with health objectives and strategies to maintain and improve your health in the future.

The Medical health checks are always carried out by highly qualified doctors. They may call upon the expertise of our other specialists, including physiotherapists and nurses, where required. We have male and female doctors so that our patients can choose if they have a preference.

How does it work?

Medical History

In advance of your Health Check, you will be asked to complete a lifestyle questionnaire.

This will be emailed? Needs to be sent in advance?

Lifestyle and body composition

Your Health Check is split into three sections:

  • Lifestyle and body composition
  • Heart Assessment
  • Blood and urine tests

We start by analysing your lifestyle and body composition. This looks at areas such as diet, sleep, smoking/alcohol, physical activity and mental health.

Heart Assessment

The assessment includes a heart examination, blood pressure and cholesterol. Importantly, we will provide you with a cardiovascular risk score.

Silver and Gold Health Checks also include a resting ECG (electrocardiogram).

Pathology tests

We will take blood and urine tests:

  • Diabetes risk
  • Full blood count
  • Lipid profile
  • Kidney function test
  • Liver function test
  • Haemoglobin (anaemia)
  • Thyroid function test
  • Vitamin B12/folate
  • Iron (ferritin)
  • Vitamin D
  • Prostate cancer test

Report of findings & action plan

At the end of your Health Check, you will be booked in for a second appointment where we will provide a report of our findings and an action plan. This usually takes place three to five days after your health check. In that time, your doctor will collate and analyse all of the information that has been gathered to produce a personalised medical report and action plan.

During this session, the doctor will walk you through the report one step at a time and take the time to explain any adverse findings.
