What is Tennis Elbow?

A Bit About Tennis Elbow...

Tennis elbow is a condition which often occurs as a result of overuse of the muscles and tendons attached to the elbow and used to straighten the wrist, which causes pain around the outside of the elbow. Golfer’s elbow is when the pain occurs on the inner side of the elbow.

People suffering from tennis elbow may experience pain on the outside of the upper forearm, just below the bend of the elbow, when lifting or bending the arm, if gripping small objects or when twisting the forearm. They may also find it difficult to completely extend the forearm.

What Causes Tennis Elbow?

Also know as Lateral Epicondylitis, Tennis elbow is sometimes caused by playing tennis, but more often it’s caused by other activities which repeatedly stress the elbow joint, from decorating to playing the violin.
