Petro Ann Carson

Consultant Physiotherapist
Petro recently relocated to Cheltenham from South Africa to be with her family and grandchildren.
Petro successfully ran a private practice for many years. She is dedicated to helping individuals achieve pain relief, regain function, and live a fulfilling life. She believes physiotherapy is just one component of a larger framework for optimal health and vitality.
Recognizing that each person is unique, Petro emphasizes the importance of personalized management plans, education and understanding of the condition. She encourages self -discovery and self-empowerment as individuals strive for optimal health. She is passionate about combining Manual Therapy with Rehabilitative exercise, promoting proper breathing techniques and the use of and the strengthening of the diaphragm as an integral part of this process.
Petro's qualifications include a BSc Physiotherapy. She also holds a B.A. (English and Psychology ) She is a MCSP and registered with the HCPC.
She was Physiotherapist for the SA Swimming Team at the World Swimming Championships in Perth and Team Physiotherapist for the Youth Olympics in Moscow.
Herself a keen Sportswomen she no longer participates in Triathlons but keeps herself active by swimming, hiking, Qi Gong, reading, and playing bridge. She loves spending time with her grandchildren.
