Rehabilitation, strength and conditioning with expert support and guidance

Functional Injury Therapy, also referred to as the FIT zone, is a new type of service that combines treatment and functional exercise. These sessions are conducted in the studio, known as the FIT zone, and involve expert design and instruction of specifically tailored strength and conditioning exercise programmes. 

In FIT zone, our clients do strength and conditioning exercises under the guidance of our practitionerswithin our rehabilitation gyms. By performing exercises under the supervision of our experts, our patients benefit from improved technique which leads to improved outcomes and quicker results.

A unique treatment methodology that delivers real results

Exercises are essential to any treatment plan. Recovery and improvement are often limited because people either fail to complete their exercises or they adopt the wrong technique. 

At THE Medical, we have developed and implemented a unique treatment methodology. FIT zone is central to 'reconditioning'. Our aim is to make you stronger, more flexible, increase your stability, improve your balance and promote a greater range of movement.

Design. Deliver. Review

There are three stages to FIT:

Step 1: Patient Specific Programme Design Session - You book in for a recommended number of treatments with one of our experienced FITherapists- GuyMeganHazel and Lucy. They will provide you with manual therapy until your injury is ready to complete prescribed exercises.They will work with you to design an exercise programme specifically tailored to meet your needs.

Step 2: Guided Exercise Sessions - Once you and your FITherapist are happy that you can complete the prescribed exercises, you can start your one-to-one sessions in the rehabilitation studio with one of our FITrainers- HollyLorraine or Emma.  At the end of this session, you will be given a FIT folder which will include a personalised exercise card detailing the plan you need to follow. Exercises are monitored and progressed during these sessions and your exercise card will be updated accordingly.

Step 3: Progress Review Sessions - After you have completed your FIT zone programme, it is important that you review your progress through reassessed with a FITherapist before discharge or discussing the next stage of your recovery.
